Visions of Arrows - Original Pen and Ink - 14 x 20 SOLD
If you head north on Route 8 from the stop light in Floyd, Virginia, you will find the inspiration for this drawing somewhere near the Blue Ridge Parkway. This old house, located on the right just a few miles from Floyd, appears to have had the porch enclosed to serve as a barn. It sits near the bottom of the ridge just off of the roadway. I named this drawing "Visions of Arrows" because the flow of the ridge to the fence and the back up the ridge through the hollow appears in the shape of an Indian arrowhead.
The Old Hill Barn in Floyd - Original Pen and Ink - 18 x 24
The Old "Hill" Barn is a log barn I found while talking to a relative of the current owner. This log barn still stands proud off of Ridgeview Road in Floyd, Virginia. The earliest known owner was Everett Caleb Hill, Sr. and Emma Sue Hill of Floyd.
